The newly reopened and redesigned National Portrait Gallery includes many pieces by – and about – Jews. In an exclusive guided tour for Jewish Renaissance, led by art historian Monica Bohm-Duchen, we will explore the collection, focusing on self-portraits by 20th-century Jewish artists and portraits of Jewish sitters by both Jewish and non-Jewish creators. Together we'll discuss the complex issues of Jewish self-representation as well as the representation of Jews by others.
