The JR Book Club returns to Zoom this May, where we will be joined by the remarkable Hella Pick, one of the first female foreign correspondents. She’ll be in conversation with Misha Glenny, former central European correspondent for the Guardian and BBC, to discuss her new autobiography, Invisible Walls: A Journalist in Search of Her Life. Discover her dramatic story, which took her from her childhood home in Austria, on the Kindertransport to Britain, where she overcame a series of invisible walls, including struggles with Jewish identity and heartache, to forge a pioneering career in journalism.
Hosted in association with Jewish Book Week.
Please register below to receive the Zoom link, which will be sent out one day before the event.

JR has an ethical ticketing policy and is offering free tickets to this event, but if you can afford it, please donate to support our work. We are proposing denominations of 18 – the numerical value of the Hebrew word 'chai', meaning 'life'.
