Four Four Jew at the Jewish Museum – British Jews and the Beautiful Game
Four Four Jew (a pun on the tactical football formation ‘Four Four Two’), the Jewish Museum’s new blockbuster exhibition, explores the relationship of British Jews to the beautiful game. Through a combination of memorabilia, rare archive footage, specially commissioned film and untold stories, the show re-imagines football as a surrogate religion whose passion and tribal spirit have played an integral role in shaping British Jewish identity from the 1900s to the present day.
When Judi Herman went to meet curator Joanne Rosenthal, she thought it best to put in her First Team, so apart from a little coaching from the side, she passed the microphone to her husband Steve and son Ed, both lifelong Arsenal fans!

Four Four Jew is at the Jewish Museum, Camden Town NW1 7NB until 23 February 2014. Click HERE for further details including the full programme of events.
